Fall allergy
season is upon us, and if the ragweed and pollen or mold and must are getting
to you, it’s time to take action. I recommend taking a natural approach because
you won’t have negative side effects to contend with, and it will strengthen
your body’s natural immune response, which will benefit your overall health.
While
prescription or over-the-counter allergy medications can provide a quick fix,
they are notorious for drying out your sinuses, which can weaken your immune system and make you more susceptible to viral and bacterial infections. Allergy
meds can also make you sleepy, anxious and fuzzy minded.
So instead of
trading one set of problems for another, try these safe, effective herbal remedies to relieve fall allergies:
Herbal Remedies
1. Take Clear Sinus & Ear: It’s a gentle, safe and effective formula that combines herbs
and active homeopathic ingredients to provide relief from allergies symptoms
such as hay fever, sinus congestion and colds. It doesn’t cause side effects
such as drowsiness, drying of the sinuses or an increased heart rate. It can be taken to relieve symptoms, but also
on a preventative basis for up to three months. Unlike prescription and
over-the-counter medications that often weaken the immune system, Clear Sinus & Ear as an herbal remedy works to strengthen the body’s natural immune response to allergens.
2. Become Sinus
Savvy: Keep your sinuses clear and lubricated by using a nasal irrigation
system such as a neti pot and/or saline nasal spray on a daily basis. Also
drink extra water every day to provide natural lubrication and flushing for
your sinuses.
3. Improve Air
Quality in Your Home: Use a high quality HEPA filter in your air
conditioner/heater and vacuum cleaner; Fix any water leakages in your home and
keep your windows closed on windy days.
4. Boost your
immune system during fall allergy season by supplementing your diet with a
homeopathic and herbal remedies like Clear Immune Support, and extra vitamin C,
D and E.
5. Embrace
Aromatherapy: Add 5-7 drops of one of the following essential oils into a large
bowl or basin of hot water and put a towel over your head around the bowl so
you can inhale the therapeutic steam: eucalyptus, peppermint, tea tree oil or
lavender. This is an effective, relaxing and enjoyable herbal remedy to clear your
sinuses before going to bed.
